Diabetes: Nutrition, Fitness and Medication Optimization (2 -Day Course)

Offered over two different days, this course is led by AFH providers and multiple area university Nutrition, Public Health, and Exercise Science students.
A current A1C (blood test) required prior to course. If you are not a patient of AFH and wish to obtain this test through our office, notify the receptionist when scheduling to participate.
Who is eligible: Pre-diabetics, diabetics, and individuals who care for diabetics
What does it cover: Diabetic nutrition, influence of fitness, impact of the disease across other health issues, lifespan health concerns, in-depth medication understanding, options for current medical therapies, setting and achieving personal goals
Where does this take place: Lobby of Ashe Family Healthcare
