Education Requirement: High School Diploma; Associate, Bachelor preferred; must pass competent listening skills assessment, be able to type > 40 words per minute, and easily navigate Windows/PC websites and associated applications.
Qualities: Team-player, self-starter, high personal motivation, demonstrate ongoing capacity to learn. Must be well spoken and have the ability to write well and creatively.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in health-related field providing direct patient care. BS/BA, MS/MA prepared experience waiver eligible.
Commitment: Employment contract for minimum of 1 year
Professional references required. Must successfully pass drug screening process and background check requirements.
Vaccines required: MMR, Polio, H. flu, TD/TDAP, Hepatitis B
Must work well with others, be a self-starter and be motivated to dynamically improve self professionally.
Duties: Work with provider staff (NP/PA/MD/DO), clinical support staff (MA, RN) and administrative staff (reception and leadership) rendering direct and indirect patient care. Responsible for working directly with provider(s) to transcribe data, real-time, during patient visits in order to minimize and eliminate provider documentation burden, thus reducing patient wait time and improving quality care capabilities. May periodically need to assist with procedures, administer medications, complete diagnostic testing, maintain medical equipment and supplies, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals outside of AFH, and other duties as assigned by employer for the purpose of patient care.
